Havre MT, – Teegan Solomon committed to play football at Montana State University-Northern following his senior year at Havre high, but it wasn’t until the baseball season ended that he joined the Northern Lights.
Solomon shared with NMB Sports how his summer of baseball impacted his fall camp with Lights football.
“It honestly helped a little bit because I was more in shape from baseball, and I’m happy I got to play baseball but I’m here now happy to play football.”
Solomon was one of six seniors helping lead Havre Northstar baseball to a state semifinal appearance and a 34-win season.
Now with his full focus on football, Solomon only has one goal for his season with the Lights.
“Just go and try to get wins, starting with Carroll week one, that’s what we need. We need to bring wins back to this program.”
Northern football opens the season at Carroll on Thursday August 28 at 6p.m.
