Havre, MT – Havre High volleyball saw success in 2025 that ended with a loss in the state championship game. The Blue Ponies lost key seniors from that team but are gearing up for another run in the post season.
Havre head coach Cassie Kruger gave insight to what Blue Pony practices have been like after the loss of key players.
“They have been good, I mean we definitely feel that loss, but this group of girls knows they need to be locked in all seasons, because they got a taste of the state championship game last year.”
“They are discipled and they are getting after it every single practice and that’s actually trickled down through the JV and the C-squad group, I’m seeing a lot of really productive practices out of everybody.”
The Blue Ponies will open the 2026 season at the Eastern A Tip Off in Livingston this Friday and Saturday. Havre will start with East Helena and battle reigning state champions Billings Central, along with Harden, Luarl, and Park.
