(Helena) – Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks says that young hunters across Montana can head out for the statewide Youth Waterfowl Weekend this Saturday and Sunday, September 26th and 27th.
The two-day hunt allows licensed youth 15 and under to hunt ducks, geese, mergansers, and coots alongside a nonhunting adult. All standard hunting regulations apply, though hunters heading to the Canyon Ferry Wildlife Management Area should note that shooting hours there are restricted to one-half hour before sunrise until noon.
