HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Independence Day is Thursday and the Havre Jaycees are getting ready for their
annual fireworks display. 2019 Chapter President TJ Daulton says the fireworks show will start around 10 PM at the Great Northern Fairgrounds. The funding for the show comes from their fireworks booth.
“We’re going to light the display off up at the fairgrounds…we usually are down in the arena area, that’s where we set it up. So, we’ll light it off right around dark. Everybody usually comes up and park along the road there or in the mall parking lot. So, it should be a good show.”
Daulton says that all of the proceeds of the Jaycees Fireworks booth will go towards funding next year’s night display.
“We light the display off for the community. We actually have our fireworks booth located right next to the Sheriff’s Office, and all the proceeds from that actually go and pay for next year’s night display, So, the more fireworks we sell, the better the display gets.”
Daulton says that the Jaycees have sponsored the 4th of July Fireworks show in Havre for decades.
