WASHINGTON (NMB) – The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has announced they have awarded grants to all seven Tribal colleges in Montana, with a total investment of $1,169,734.
Stone Child College in Box Elder received $161,200 to purchase security and information technology equipment.
Aaniiih Nakoda College in Harlem received $187,923 to replace 30 outdated campus heating and air conditioning units. And remaining funds will be used on a campus paving project.
These funds came from the USDA Rural Development Tribal College Initiative Grant program.
