FORT BELKNAP, Mont. (NMB) – Absentee voting is underway for the Special Election for the final open Tribal Council seat for Fort Belknap.
The race for the two-year term in the seat representing Assiniboine At-Large/Elected by Assiniboine voters only is down to two candidates: Cheryl D. Horn and Curtis Horn.
For the week of Monday, November 29th through Friday, December 3rd, absentee voting is available daily from 8 AM-5 PM at the Election Office, located at 212 Hopi Street at the Agency.
Ballots can also be returned via mail.
In-person voting will be from 8 AM-8 PM on Tuesday, December 14th at designated polling sites. If you voted absentee prior to the election, you can not be present at a polling site on Election Day.
