HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Office of Public Instruction has announced that after-school organizations across the state are being awarded a total of $2.8 million in grants to expand programs in the coming year.
Many programs on the Hi-Line have been deemed eligible to receive funds:
- Code Girls United, which has seven sites, including one each in Havre and Chinook, is eligible to receive $37,784
- Turner Public School is eligible to receive $68,878
- Upward Bound – University of Montana, which has two sites, including one in Browning, is eligible to receive $52,050
OPI says that eligibility was decided based on number of students served, location and population density of the community, and socio-economic status of the students served.
