(AmeriCorps) – AmeriCorps recently awarded two Montana projects a total of nearly $1.7 million in grant funding.
AmeriCorps also makes funding available for Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards for members serving under these grants. Upon the completion of the term of service, each AmeriCorps member can receive up to $7395 for repayment of qualified student loans and current expenses at eligible colleges and universities.
Since 1994, over 11,000 Montanans have volunteered for more than 11 million hours of service, and have earned more than $29 million in Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards.
On a national level, AmeriCorps is comprised of more than 200,000 members and AmeriCorps seniors serving over 35,000 communities.
