HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The annual Havre Jaycees Haunted House returns this Thursday and will be located directly above the Havre Eagle’s Club.
The Haunted House will open at 7 pm each night from Oct. 24 through Halloween, and Jaycees Chapter President TJ Daulton says all of the money raised goes back into the community.
“We’ve done different things in the past from buying Angel Tree Coats with them to helping families out with toys. It really just kind of differs from year to year. So once the year is over, once the Haunted House is over, we’ll discuss it as a Chapter and figure out what we want to put that money towards.”
For those who want to experience the Haunted House without being spooked, there will be a Scare-Free Day from 1-3 pm on Sunday, Oct. 27.
“You have somebody actually lead you through the Haunted House. All the lighting and the effects stay the same, but we don’t have anybody scaring. So there’s no workers in rooms, you get to bring your flashlight with you, we play some kids Halloween music. We try to lighten it up a little bit while still giving people the opportunity to come through check out all the hard work.”
Cost to enter the Haunted House is $5 a person, or $4 if you bring a non-perishable food item. Admission to the Scare-Free Day on Sunday afternoon is $2, or 2 non-perishable food items.
The non-perishable food will be donated to the Havre Food Bank.
