HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The American Rescue Plan Act’s Health Care Worker Child Care Assistance program has been launched.
The program seeks applications from health care workers who may need child care assistance. Funding is limited and applications are processed on a first come first serve basis.
“It used to be the income level was (at or below) 150 percent of the poverty level, and now it’s 250 percent, so quite a few more workers are going to be able to qualify for the program,” says Lori Cereck is the Communications Director for Family Connections. “And the family would only have up to $100 monthly co-payment for their child care, which is huge. An infant under 12 months can be over $900 a month, so that will be quite a big savings.”
In addition, there is an ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grant Opportunity. This is for licensed and registered child care providers looking for financial support to maintain or resume offering child care services.
