(Great Falls)- A Browning man accused of beating a man in the head with a hammer has now admitted to an assault charge.
Government documents allege that the man entered a residence on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and assaulted the victim who was sleeping. The victim was then rushed to the hospital in an ambulance and treated for head injuries.
The man recently plead guilty to assault resulting in serious bodily injury. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for April 6th, 2023.
