HELENA, Mont. — Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen has joined 25 other state attorneys general in supporting President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard in response to riots in California.
In a joint statement, the group condemned violence and property damage, saying peaceful protest does not include arson or assault.
They also criticized California leadership for failing to maintain order and voiced support for law enforcement and federal intervention when local efforts fall short.
