HAVRE (NMB) There is an update on the wildland fire that is burning in the area of the Ski Bowl.
The Hill County Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator and Fire Warden Amanda Frickel has told New Media Broadcasters the wildland fire is now bordering Blaine, Chouteau, and Hill counties and remains south of the Ski Bowl area, as of 6PM.
Civilians are asked to stay away from the area south of second lake in Beaver Creek Park.
Frickel stated that all local agencies are working together to battle the fire. DNRC is providing air and mobile support units, along with support from Rocky Boy, BIA Forestry.
Battling the blaze is currently an air attack.
At this time there are no reported injuries. The amount of acres affected is unknown.
This is a developing news story still under investigation with no official cause for the fire start.
