(Havre) The annual Bear Paw Marathon is taking place Saturday, June 7th, put on by the Havre Chamber of Commerce.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Chamber Executive Director Shelli Sayers to get more information on the event.
“The Bear Paw Marathon, Half-Marathon and 5k fun-run are going to happen Saturday, June 7th beginning at 6am, 7am, and 8am. As of right now we have over 290 runner registers across all three races: About 40 full marathoners, 80 half marathoners, and then the rest are 5kers. We do expect that number to grow in the next couple days just because we do seem to receive a lot of last minute registrants”
Busses to the starting lines will leave at an hour before the start of each race; 5:00am for the full marathon, 6:00am for the half marathon, and 7:00 for the 5k respectively.
