(Havre) The Bear Paw Ski Bowl got an upgrade to their two person lift that they say is going to make repairs and maintenance more efficient and the experience more safe for their visitors.
New Media Broadcasters spoke with Dave Martens, Mountain Manager for the Bear Paw Ski Bowl to explain the details of this upgrade
“Essentially what we did is replace our communication line at the ski hill, which is a cable that runs from the top of the mountain to the bottom of the mountain. What it does is, it’s the control part of the ski hill. It controls the de-rail switches. The communication lines between the lift operators. The new system allows us to to pinpoint if there’s a break in system somewhere, it allows us to pinpoint which tower its on and if it’s on the uphill side or the downhill side.”
