BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – Four Points Press reports that the Big Horn County Coroner Daryl Craig Nordquist was arrested in Billings on Wednesday afternoon.
Nordquist has been accused of committing felony attempted burglary and failing to appear in court.
On January 22nd, Nordquist allegedly attempted to kick in a door of a residence owned by the Hardin Cemetery District. A witness told law enforcement Nordquist was making threats against her and her husband.
On December 13th, Nordquist was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal trespass for not following rules of his release from an August 2021 arrest where he was charged with felony theft.
In that case, Nordquist is accused of purchasing two dirt bikes and an atv that he knew were stolen, and then attempting to sell them back to the original owner.
If convicted, Nordquist could face up to 40 years in prison on the most serious charge.
