The Imaging and Chemical Analysis Lab at MSU is doing incredible research by imaging and analyzing elements.
Dr. Sara Maccagnano-Zacher the Imaging and Chemical Analysis Lab manager explains the primary industry that the lab contributes to.
“We have a history of bio-corrosion where there is a lot of ships and pipes that go under the ocean for transferring oil or anything. Those metal structures are exposed and vulnerable to corrosion from biological life forms around it. So, it’s a huge business and research area to try and mitigate corrosion. So, our lab has done a lot of bio-corrosion.”-Dr. Sara Maccagnano-Zacher
