BROWNING, Mont. (NMB) – A mandatory mask mandate has been issued, effective immediately, on the Blackfeet Reservation due to an ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
In addition, all Tribal Offices are closed to the public until further notice, and all non-essential travel for Tribal Programs and Departments is suspended, especially to known hotspots.
As of 1 PM on Monday, there were 18 active COVID-19 cases on the Reservation, with over 100 close contacts.
Less than a month ago, on July 26th, the Blackfeet Reservation was at 0 active COVID-19 cases.
