CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The Blaine County Cruisers are set to host a 10-year anniversary cruise this weekend.
Club President Loren Skoyen says this year’s cruise will take place after a 7 AM breakfast on Saturday morning at the Blaine County Fairground, and will feature a new twist.
“Before everybody knew where the stops were going to be, as well as the challenges. This year, it’s all going to be a secret. You won’t know where the next challenge is until the last person plays the game at the previous challenge. So we’re just going to kind of keep everybody in a group this year. We’re all going to travel in a group, we’re not going to be spread out. When it’s all said and done, we’ll have lunch at Zurich Park put on by the Blaine County Wildlife Museum, free will donations. And then the last stop will be the Blaine County Museums. So we’re pretty excited just to do a Blaine County cruise.”
Registration begins at 7 PM on Friday and is $40 per vehicle. Entrants receive a t-shirt and two meal tickets.
There will also be a pair of movies screened at the Fairgrounds. Stroker Ace will play on Friday night at dark, while Ford vs. Ferrari will be projected on Saturday night. There is no cost to attend the screenings.
All money raised at the event supports trade school scholarships for Blaine County youth.
“We need more tradesmen in this industry now, and it seems to be working out pretty good. So that’s what it’s all for. We’re giving back to the community, is what we’re doing.”
