CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – The 2019 Blaine County Fair wrapped up on Sunday, bringing a weeks worth of carnival rides, food, and entertainment to an end. Fair Manager Debbie Ramberg says that their fair was a great success and they broke some attendance records.
“Our Pig Wrestling was a record crowd. We have never had one that big, so that was a huge success. We kind of thought, maybe this was going to be our last year because there was medical issues with the family, but they assured us that they were going to continue. So we’ll have them back next year. Then we had record crowds for both rodeo nights.”
Ramberg says they introduced a new ATV Barrel Racing event this year and all types of ATV’s and motorcycles could compete.
“It was a huge hit. We had little kids on motorcycles and three-wheelers, and we had all the way up to adults and it was pretty fun. We had a few rollovers and so it was a good success. We’ll do it again next year.”
Ramberg says that they will continue the pig wrestling event next year. The fair circuit continues next week with Havre’s Great Northern Fair, which starts next Wednesday.
