Blaine County Reports Record 16 COVID-19 Cases Thursday

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Blaine County reported a record of 16 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday, surpassing the previous daily-high of seven cases reached on Monday.

In a press release, the Blaine County Health Department says they, alongside Fort Belknap Tribal Health, are working tirelessly to conduct contact tracing. Close contacts are encouraged to get tested and are directed to quarantine in order to slow the spread of the virus.

They add that is absolutely necessary to isolate or quarantine if you are asked to do so.

The Fort Belknap Reservation has already announced they will be going into a 14-day shutdown beginning Saturday morning.

Blaine County has reported 55 total COVID-19 cases. 35 are active, including 1 hospitalization. 20 have recovered.
