(Chinook) – On Thursday the Blaine County Health Department was notified of Fourteen new cases of Covid-19.. Currently their are 24 active cases of Covid-19 in Blaine County.
The health department says “We are seeing an uptick in Covid-19 activity in Blaine County currently. Symptoms include feels like a head cold, fever, headache, diarrhea, vomiting, loss of taste and smell, fatigue, body aches, chills and shortness of breath. Also watch for pink eyes symptoms red, itchy, burning eyes as this is a new symptom being reported. This is a tough time of the year with the beginning of allergy season, but if these symptoms are accompanied by a fever, it’s not allergies”
They go on to say, “Blaine County residents please be vigilant. Wash your hands, cover your cough and sneezes, stay away from sick people, stay home when you’re sick, All of these mitigation efforts will help control the spread of illness.”
The Blaine County Health Department also reminds your that if you test positive on a home test, please contact your local health department so that they can provide you with resources you may need. Examples include a letter for your employer, correct timelines for your isolation, and quarantine periods. They also ask this so that they have a better idea of what the level of Covid-19 is in Blaine County communities so that they can help protect those individuals that may be at risk for severe disease or complications.
