Havre, MT – Identity is imperative for any football team, for Havre Blue Pony football, Identity stems from the trenches.
With an experienced senior front on the offensive line, Havre High football looked for and found their identity in the trenches.
Head coach of the Blue Ponies, Jake Eldridge, says that the identity of his team comes from both the offensive and defensive lines.
“We said that since day one of the program, is that if we are going to win it’s going to be because of our guys up front on both sides of the ball.” Coach Eldridge said. “Offensive line and defensive line, that’s really where it starts, so that’s going to be our identity absolutely, but I don’t know if that means we’re gonna be just a run heavy team or a pass heavy team or anything like that. I think we are gonna have an opportunity to do both things really really well.”
The season for coach Eldridge’s team is right around the corner with the blue and white scrimmage on Saturday, August 23, at 7p.m. from Blue Pony Stadium. Havre starts the season on the road next weekend in Whitefish.
