(Bozeman) – The Havre Blue Ponies and Billings Central Rams Girls Basketball Team renewed their rivalry in the Semi-Finals of the Class “A” State Girls Basketball tournament at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the campus of MSU-Bozeman, riday Night.
The Blue Ponies downed the Rams 70-49 to advance to their third consecutive State Championship game with an opportunity to claim their third state title in three years. Yelena Miller led the Blue Pony offense going 11 of 12 from the field, one of one from the three point line and two of two from the free throw line for a total of 25 points. Arianna Gary added 17, and Sierra Parker had 12 in the Blue Ponies victory.
Is the other girls semi-final, Hardin defeated Laurel 76-71. The Blue Ponies will now face the Bulldogs in a rematch of the Eastern “A” Divisional title tilt, for the Class “A” Girls State Title on Saturday Night. You can hear the Blue Pony Girls go for their third consecutive state basketball title, Saturday night at 6:30pm on KOJM.
