Havre, MT – Amaya Jarvis, is looking to finish off her high school career strong before playing collegiately at Central Washington.
After leading the Blue Ponies in scoring and rebounding on route to a state semifinal appearance last season, Jarvis committed to play for the wildcats of central Washington.
Jarvis excels at many things on the court including being a leader in the huddle. Head coach of Blue Pony girls basketball, Tommy Brown Spoke to her leadership and the example she sets for the team. “Amaya sets the tone for our team in practice she is a communicator for our team as a leader.” Coach Brown said.
“She carries her teammates along with her, and makes sure that we stay on the same page on the court. When Amaya is having a good practice our team is usually having a great practice, so she is the energy driver of our team. said Brown.
When preseason practice rolls around in November, Jarvis will look to lead her team one last time.
