Havre native and current Purdue Boilermaker Parker Filius has advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship Tournament.
No.12 ranked Fillius first defeated No.21 Cleveland Belton of Oregon State (8-3).
After, No.12 ranked Filius defeated No.5 Ryan Jack of N.C. State. Filius trailed 5-1 going into the 3rd period before scoring 6 points in the final frame to win 7-6. The winning move was a takedown as time expired.
The quarterfinals begin at 11AM CT on ESPNU with the Semifinals beginning at 7PMCT on ESPN Friday March 17th.
With the Championship set to begin Saturday March 18th.
