(Box Elder) As previously reported by New Media Broadcasters, members of the Big Sandy and Box Elder communities held a walk from Big Sandy to Box Elder in solidarity for those that have been recently deceased or otherwise affected by the drug crisis affecting Montana.
Afterwards, many stuck around for a discussion involving concerns around safety at Box Elder School. New Media Broadcasters spoke with Natalie Demontiney, a member of the Box Elder community, for her comments
“Oh yes I am really worried about a lot of the children and our children even on the reservation. Just all the incidents that are happening here on the reservation and a little bit off of the reservation. Our community is in danger because of whatever is going on with the drugs and the safety of our children because of the drugs”
