The Big Sandy Medical Guild will host their annual rummage sale on Thursday, October 1st from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and the Box Sale on Friday, October 2nd from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall, 115 Johannes Ave., Big Sandy.
They will start accepting donations for the sale Monday, September 28th 8:00am – 5:00pm through Wednesday, September 30th from 8:00am until 1:00 pm at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall located at 115 Johannes Ave. in Big Sandy. You can drop off items through the alley in the back or walk the items into the building. No donations will be accepted after 1:00pm on September 30th .
The sale will include items from, house wares, Kids, women’s, and men’s clothing, shoes, furniture, holidays, bedding, toys, books, crafts, music, jewelry, and outdoor items.
Grab a slice of homemade pie and a cup of coffee for $5.00 on Thursday and Friday. The Medical Guild will also have a raffle with items donated by generous community donors. Raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 need not be present to win. The drawing will take place on Friday, October 2nd at 3:00pm.
This year, funds raised will help enhance and improve the Big Sandy Medical Center’s courtyard, creating a more welcoming, accessible, and enjoyable space for patients, residents, families, and visitors. Planned improvements include:
- Beautification and landscaping enhancements
- New raised flower beds
- Improved wheelchair accessibility
- A new shade structure to provide a comfortable, protected area in the courtyard
These improvements will help create a beautiful and functional outdoor space where patients and visitors can enjoy fresh air, sunshine, and time together in a safe and comfortable setting.
