(Cascade County – KRTV) The youth at the Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center are growing hope through a new project.
The detention center originally set up a garden meant for the incarcerated youth to take care of as a part of their recreation programming but ended up receiving a $3,500 grant from the Home Depot Foundation.
The staff at the Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center say they believe hands-on projects, such as this one, are good for the kids who are struggling with personal issues to focus on more positive things.
