(Great Falls) — Central Montana Tourism has launched Exploration: Central Montana, a free, online, always-available training program designed to strengthen how the region is represented by the people who live and work in it, from hotel staff and restaurant workers to gas station attendants, retail employees, and community members who regularly interact with visitors. The initiative invites participants to deepen regional knowledge and contribute to a welcoming visitor experience across Central Montana.
Central Montana spans 13 counties, stretching along the Hi-Line including the communities of Shelby, Havre, and Harlem, across the central plains around Winnett, Lewistown, and Harlowton, south to White Sulphur Springs, and along the Rocky Mountain Front through Choteau toward the Canadian border. . In 2025, the region welcomed approximately 2.8 million visitors annually, generating an estimated $370 million in non-resident spending
