HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A few changes have been made to this Sunday’s 4-H Livestock Sale, which closes out five days of fun at the 2019 Great Northern Fair. Family & Consumer Science and 4-H MSU Extension Agent Jasmine Carbajal says they are offering a new meat processor out of Helena. For those who choose that option, the 4-H Club will help with transportation.
“We’ll have Bear Paw Meats from Chinook. They’re usually here every year. But this year, our second options going to be Tizer Meats down in Helena. So, our buyers usually, they can always make their own arrangements for their animals that they buy, but we always like to have some options here.”
Carbajal says that the number of animals is similar to last year.
“So the sale’s going to start at 1 o’clock on Sunday. We have one goat, eleven sheep, 44 swine and 23 beef. So we will have a pretty good show for everybody and we’re excited for all the support we get from the community and we get to see everybody on Sunday, hopefully at 1 o’clock, starting here in the Bigger Better Barn.”
The 4-H Livestock sale will start at 1 PM on Sunday in the Bigger Better Barn on the Great Northern Fairgrounds.
