Chief Mountain Port of Entry Closed for Season

CHIEF MOUNTAIN, Mont. (NMB) – U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations Area Port of Sweetgrass announced the winter closing of the Chief Mountain Port of Entry.

A press release says that due to blizzard conditions and heavy snow accumulations last week, the National Park Service closed Highway 17, which is the road to the port of Chief Mountain, on September 27th. This also closed the Chief Mountain Port of Entry.

The Chief Mountain Port of Entry will re-open on May 15th, 2020.
