On Friday morning, the Chinook basketball teams opened up the Shelby Coyote Classic as the first teams to take the court.
For the girls (2-0), who tipped off at 9am, they won handily over the Eureka (Lincoln County) Lions by the final score of (78-28). Senior Hallie Neibauer dropped 27 points and junior Alexis Seymour finished with 19 points.
For the boys (0-2), they followed the girls but were unable to come away with the win, falling to the Lions, (74-65). Senior Jackson Nordboe again led the Beeters in points, scoring 24.
The Chinook basketball teams will be back in action on Saturday with the girls slated to play Malta at 3pm. The boys will close out the tournament by playing the hosts Shelby around 7:30pm. Those games will be available to listen to on KRYK-101.3FM.
