The Chinook Sugarbeeters basketball teams competed at Fort Benton against the Longhorns on Tuesday night and both picked up victories.
For the girls’, they won (56-20). Chinook started off the game on a (14-2) run and blossomed that lead to (34-8) at halftime. Hallie Neibauer led the way for the Beeters with 17 points. Alexus Seymour followed that line with 14 points of her own. The Lady Beeters remain undefeated at (5-0).
For the boys’, the Beeters picked up their first win of the season and are now (1-4), defeating the Longhorns, (60-37). Three players were in double-figures for the winning side, led by Gyme Kelly’s 17 points. Jackson Nordboe added 11 points and Carson Nissen chipped in 10 points.
Chinook will play the back end of their back-to-back on Wednesday when they face Rocky Boy. The Lady Beeters’ game tips off at 6pm and the boys’ game will follow. Listen to Noah Friedman call the action of Sunny 101.3FM-KRYK.
