GREAT FALLS, Mont. (NMB) – A Chinook man has been arraigned in U.S. District Court in Billings based on allegations that he intended to distribute meth in Blaine County and on the Fort Belknap Reservation.
Kalled Sam Hassen Jaha, 39, pleaded not guilty last week to the charge of possession with intent to distribute meth.
According to the Grand Jury indictment, Jaha is alleged to have knowingly possessed with the intent to distribute five or more grams of meth in mid-March of 2019.
If convicted of the most serious crime, Jaha faces a mandatory minimum five years to 40 years in prison, a $5 million fine and at least four years of supervised release.
Jaha was detained pending further proceedings. The FBI investigated the case.
