The Chinook Sugarbeeters football team is less than a week away from their first kickoff of the season!
The team has been practicing now for over a week, and Head Coach Mike Jones told us where he believes the most room for improvement is.
“Areas that we should improve on here are probably going to be those shoes that we have to fill with our leaving seniors. We had a linemen leave and a lot of field positions, so we need to get some outside receivers and DB’s to step up, some younger kids maybe to fill those positions,” says Jones.
Coach Jones also told us what he and his squad are looking forward to the most about this season.
“We’re looking forward to just playing, these kids are getting antsy. It’s football season and you can definitely tell their ready to start playing against some other teams,” says Jones.
The Chinook Sugarbeeters take on Culbertson at home on Saturday at 1pm.
