The Havre Eagles Club is hosting a toy drive for those in need this Christmas. Candace Dess the Auxiliary President for the Havre Eagles Club explains the process of gathering the toys for the drive.
“We had toy drive boxes all over town, at 14 locations. Different businesses collected toys, different community groups, and we’ve been gathering toys for about the last five weeks.”– Candace Dess
Candace explains that in order to serve as many people as possible, the toys are reserved for those in need who haven’t received other Christmas assistance.
“Well, we ask that you’re not receiving any other assistance that way we can help as many families as possible that are needing help this year. So, we ask that you’re not on Angel Tree or any other of the programs and if you’re not you’re free to come in and get some help for Christmas.”-Candace Dess
The toy drive was busy all-day Thursday, and now the drive will be open until four on Friday at the Eagles Club. In order to reserve a toy, call Candace at (406)262-0498.
