City Reminds Residents to Celebrate the 4th Legally & Safely

During the Independence Day holiday, the City of Havre reminds residents to celebrate legally and safely.

All fireworks are banned from city parks, and may not be discharged on any public sidewalk, street, public right-of-way, public easement or alley.

Fireworks are allowed from Thursday, July 2nd to Saturday, July 4th from 8a to midnight. They must be used outdoors only away from dry grass, forests, and structures. Use as instructed and keep water nearby.

Children under age 7 must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian. Only fireworks legally permitted by Montana State law, and you must clean up all debris after using fireworks.

Havre Police and Fire Department will enforce these rules, and littering citations may be issued for violations.

Check the City of Havre website for up-to-date information on fireworks usage.
