COVID-19 Outbreak Reported at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – A COVID-19 outbreak has been reported at Sweet Memorial Nursing Home in Chinook.

A press release on Wednesday evening says that three staff members and three residents have had their positive COVID-19 test results confirmed. They have also reported a COVID-19 related death.

There are also 11 presumed positive residents, and they are waiting on confirmation from the state lab in Helena.

Sweet Memorial Nursing Home is testing staff and residents according to facility protocols driven by CDC guidance. Staff and residents that have tested negative will continue to be tested every three-to-seven days until they go 14 days without anyone testing positive.

Sweet Memorial Nursing Home says they are will, “do everything possible to keep our residents and staff healthy.”

They will continue to work with their Medical Director and Blaine County Public Health and are following all guidelines.
