HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Jaylen Jake Crazyboy appeared in Hill County District Court last Thursday to face his arraignment on 71 charges related to a burglary ring he is alleged to have been the leader of.
Crazyboy appeared in person and pleaded not guilty to all 71 counts, 25 of which are felonies. The felonies include one count of continuing a criminal enterprise, three counts of burglary, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary, five counts of criminal mischief, 11 counts of theft and three counts of attempt to commit theft.
No future court dates have been set for this case.
Following the arraignment, an evidentiary hearing was held for two other active cases where Crazyboy faces multiple felonies, including theft, deceptive practices and theft by common scheme.
Crazyboy is accused of violating three conditions of his release in those cases. The court ruled the burden of proof for two of the three violations had been met, so Judge Kaydee Snipes-Ruiz revoked Crazyboy’s release.
For those cases, Crazyboy faces a jury trial on March 26.
The allegations that Crazyboy violated his release conditions stem from his alleged role as a passenger in the December 22 vehicle pursuit in Havre.
After the hearings, Crazyboy was transported back to the Hill County Detention Center, where he is being held on bonds totaling $150,000.
