POWELL COUNTY, Mont. — Fire crews continue to battle the Jericho Mountain Fire, burning roughly 351 acres about five miles south of Macdonald Pass in Powell County.
The fire, sparked by lightning and currently 0% contained, is being fought by 250 personnel with aerial and ground support.
Recent rain has reduced fire behavior, but heavy fuels remain dry.
Crews are building and improving fire lines along the Continental Divide.
An evacuation warning is in effect for Rimini Road and nearby areas.
A closure order is also in place for public safety.
