WASHINGTON, D.C. (NMB) – On Friday, U.S. Senator Steve Daines announced his nominations for 15 Montana students who are applying for enrollment into U.S. military academies.
A congressional nomination is a critical step in the process for Montanans seeking admission into either the U.S. Air Force, Military, Naval or Marine Academies.
Local nominees include Cameron Pleninger of Havre, who applied for enrollment in the Marine Academy; and Alexis Tri and Daniel Brannon of Great Falls, who applied for the Air Force and Marines, respectively.
These students submitted an extensive application documenting their academic, civic, and athletic abilities, as well as their commitment to military service. An academy selection board assembled by Daines reviewed the applications and conducted interviews of the applicants.Da
