Decision Point Event for National Public Lands Day

(NMB) Saturday, September 27, is National Public Lands Day, with parks and monuments across the country holding special volunteer events to celebrate.

Rhiannon “Rey” Davies with the Upper Missouri Breaks National Monument, tells New Media Broadcasters about their event at Decision Point.

“For our events to honor Decision Point and its importance in the history of the monument and this area as a whole, we are working on making sure it stays in its best condition. So, we are doing an invasive species weed pull. There is a couple of different invasive species that we track throughout the monument that are also being tracked throughout Montana as a whole and one of them in particular that we want to focus on, on National Public Lands Day is spotted knapweed.”

The event will run from 1-3pm on Saturday, with special presentations in the morning.
