Dining with Diabetes to Teach Cooking, Nutrition to Diabetics

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Montana State University Extension Office will be hosting a program over the next month that will teach people about diabetes-friendly recipes.

A press release says that the Dining with Diabetes program is a cooking school and nutrition education program designed for people with diabetes or their caregivers. The series consists of four weekly classes that include cooking demonstrations, healthy techniques, sampling and making food, and diabetes education.

The Extension Office has received a grant to pilot Dining with Diabetes for free in selected Montana counties.

The classes will be held on Wednesdays; February 27th, March 6th, March 13th, and March 27th from 5:30 to 7:30 PM at Bullhook Community Health Center.

The class is free, but space is limited. Register by Monday, February 25th by calling 406-400-2335.
