(Washington) The FDA continues to investigate counterfeit Ozempic that were found in the legitimate U.S. drug supply chain and has seized thousands of units of the product.
The agency advises users to check the product they have received and not to use products labeled with the following lot and serial number combination
lot number: NAR0074
serial number: 430834149057
The FDA says that, because the products are counterfeit, their safety and sterilization cannot be verified which poses a risk to public safety. The FDA is aware of five adverse events from this lot, none of which are serious and are consistent with known common adverse reactions to authentic Ozempic.
