(FDA) Sustain and Schwinnng (sh-wing) brands are both recalling what they call male enhancement pills because they contain active drug ingredients not approved by the FDA.
The drug ingredients in questions have not been tested for safety or efficacy, and the FDA says they are suspected of interacting harmfully with chemicals called nitrates which are very common medicines for high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, and some heart disease medication.
The FDA says that taking both of these drugs at the same time has the risk of causing a fatal drop in blood pressure.
The products were sold across the USA on Amazon and directly to consumers on each brands website. To date, no adverse effects have been reported.
