HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The filing period for the 2021 municipal election in Hill County has opened up, with offices in both Havre and Hingham on the ballot.
In Havre, Mayor Tim Solomon’s seat is up for election, as well as Janie Hedstrom’s seat as City Judge and five different seats on the City Council.
Seats up for election in Hingham include a four-year term for Mayor (currently held by Ray Lipp), and two four-year terms as at large Alderman (currently held by Roger Haas and Dillon Lipp).
As of Monday morning, the only three people to file for the 2021 elections in Hill County were incumbents. Ward Three’s Lindsey Ratliff and Ward Four’s Sarah McKinney have filed for four year terms on the Havre City Council, while Hedstrom has filed for a four year term to remain the Havre City Judge.
The nomination period closes on June 21st. All races this year in Hill County are non-partisan. The general election is set for November 2nd.
Filing fees range from $15 for the City Council positions to $420 for Havre City Judge.
