HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A fire on Thursday morning on the 1500 block of Washington Avenue in Havre killed three pets and left a trailer home a total loss.
Havre Assistant Fire Chief Nathan Courtnage says they were dispatched to the fire at 8:42 AM.
When they arrived, the home was already fully engulfed.
Two engines, one ambulance and 11 personnel responded to the scene and had the fire under control by 9:45 AM.
Along with the structure, the contents of the house were also a total loss.
No people were injured, but two dogs and a parrot were killed in the fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Havre Fire Department is working with the homeowner to find out if insurance is available.
