CRAIG, Mont. (NMB) – The Independent Record reports that the fire between Wolf Creek and Craig that forced the closure of Interstate-15 over the weekend was caused by sparks from a vehicle pulling a trailer.
The Rock Creek Fire was estimated at 3,500 acres with 80 percent containment as of Sunday evening, and had led to eight residences having to evacuate.
Officials are optimistic that they will be able to continue to suppress the fire.
