HAVRE, Mont. — Havre Fire crews responded to a fast-moving grass fire north of town on Wildhorse Road Saturday afternoon.
The call came in just after 3 p.m., with Engine 1 arriving to find flames threatening at least one structure.
A second engine and the St. Joe Volunteer Fire Department were quickly called in to assist.
Firefighters from both departments—eight in total—worked to contain the blaze, which was held to just over an acre despite windy conditions.
No injuries were reported, and no structures were lost.
Officials are reminding residents to be extra cautious with fire activity during dry, hot, and windy weather.
